Hi, all, for the 13th time behind a table and the 15th overall, I'll be at the Pittsburgh Comicon in Monroeville, PA, this coming weekend sharing a table with artist and illustrator, extraordinaire, Ed Coutts. We'll have issues of VaVaVaVoom! for sale (for those who've never picked up one or all of the 3 issues), and Ed will be selling original art, prints, and conventions sketches, as well as taking orders for commissions. I will be in my traditional role collecting his money for him, walking around spending my own money at other artists' tables, and, hopefully, meeting a few of you here in person to talk about..whatever! If you're in the area and looking for something to do this weekend, or are already planning on coming by the convention, please stop by the table and say, "Hi!" If you're particularly daring, you can even say that you've seen my stuff on DA and you're concerned for my mental health.
If you do come to my table and just don't know what to talk about, you're in luck because I was recently tagged by
and I'm supposed to list 10 songs in my playlist. Here goes, in no particular order:
1) Can't Hold Us - Macklemore and Ryan
2) Mother Blues - Ray Wylie Hubbard
3) Hall of Fame - The Script
4) It's Hard to Be Humble - Mac Davis
5) Turn off the Lights - Teddy Pendergrass
6) Do you Wanna Go to Heaven - T.G. Sheppard
7) Try - Pink
8) Superstar - Luther Vandross
9) Somethin'' bout a Truck - Kip Moore
10) Strength of a Thousand Men - Two Steps From Hell
I'm supposed to tag more people. I probably won't. However, if anybody comes up to my table and introduces themselves at the Pittsburgh show this weekend, I definitely won't tag anybody. So, don't just do it for yourself, do it for everyone.
What else? Oh, a quick feature of artists I follow who created something fantastic. This is by no means comprehensive. Just a dozen off the top of my head.
MannequinsDenise walked down the hallway, into the dressing room of the modeling studio. She had answered an online ad for a lingerie model, and after exchanging photos and information, had been accepted. She had done this sort of modeling before – it had helped her to pay her way through teaching school. But this would be the first time she had done it since she started her teaching job. It was summer, though, and she could really use the extra money, and it was something she enjoyed doing, so, she thought, why not?
On a table in the dressing room was a box, containing a white, lacy lingerie outfit – bra, panty, stockings, gloves – and a matching set of white high-heeled pumps. The lingerie was adorned with pretty pink bows and ribbons. Denise removed the t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers she had worn to come there, and then started to dress herself in the lingerie. She had sent them her exact measurements, and as she pulled the bra over h
